We are trying the International Twin Steer chassis in conjunction with our vacuum truck systems that we produce. The base of the concept is using the twin steer chassis which will assist in better distribution of weight of the tank and its content allowing safer use of the truck on road and off. The use of the twin steer will provide a turning radius which is tighter than a conventional truck chassis which will allow for better mobility in the oil field and the travel routes these trucks are expected to maneuver. Using this type of chassis should work better in the muddy fields because of better weight distribution of the tank. We are asking for comment on our thoughts and are wondering if anyone has experienced use with the twin steer chassis for this applications. Picture below are of the first production unit using a 2005 International Twin Steer using the Tiger General 110bbl Vacuum tank system.

Most people believe that optimum cable size is 9/16” 6×7 strand rating. however, swabbing well depths up to about 6,000 feet, 7/16 6×7 cable works well

Cable or “sand line” working load limits vary with size and construction. A rule of “thumb” is operating loads of 33% of breaking strength gives good cable life and safety factor in swab operations. The rating for 9/16” 6×7 cable breaking strength is 26,000 pounds. Breaking strength for 1/2″ 6×7 cable7/16 6×7 sand line is 15,800# Breaking strength of 7/16” cable sand line is 15,800#

If swab drum is too small to hold the length of cable your wells need, A new option is to consider “swedged cable” this is cable that has been Pulled through a smaller die. Meaning 9/16” diameter cable can be “swedged” to 1/2″ diameter. The rating or breaking strength is between 1/2 and 9/16”.

Usually “swedged cable” will work very satisfactory in swabbing operations and can help solve the problem of needing more capacity on the swabbing drum

The construction industry learned the benefits of hydraulics many years ago. Today you don’t see any mechanical chain and sprocket drivers anymore. The oil patch is about to wake up. Here’s why.

Long ago the construction industry saw the benefits of hydraulic drives. It’s simple. When you put 100 horsepower into the old-fashioned chain and sprocket drives, you get only about 65 horsepower at the drum. When you put 100 horsepower into our hydraulic drive, you get at least 92 horsepower at your drum. Why mess around and spend your money on old- fashioned stuff? Start operating in the 21st century now!

Today you can gain the benefits and profits the construction industry gets. Call Mark Overholt at Tiger General 330-725-4949 ext. 122 now and get your name on our waiting list for an all new hydraulic Swab Master swabbing rig. Why mess around with old, used or so-called rebuilt old rigs? Your customers will be delighted when you show up with your new efficient swabbing rig.

Don’t let the size of our swab rig fool you. We pack big power and speed into a compact package. We put the beef where it’s needed for long life. All other swab rig designs are just big, heavy inefficient designs.

Sarah Palin may be on to something. In a recent Facebook post, she blames the extreme environmentalists for causing the BP Oil Rig disaster by forcing oil companies to drill off shore by heavily regulating on-shore drilling. If safe, above ground rigs were options for oil companies, we wouldn’t be as dependent on risky off-shore endeavors, she argues.

On-land drilling is much less invasive and much more controllable. With the BP oil spill a mile below water, stopping the leak will take months—possible till August. Such a leak couldn’t occur above ground. Above ground rigs work like straws, gently pull oil up out of the ground while only disturbing a small portion of the area, and not in a dramatic way. Being able to offset the need for deep water drilling by using more swabbing rigs and above ground oil rigs would ultimately mean fewer disasters of the same proportions as the current spill.

Tiger General is proud to support clean above ground drilling efforts. Encourage safe oil and look into investing in your OWN swabbing rig!

The Oil rig won out, getting 17% of all media coverage this week. Kagan got only 13% of the media coverage. The disparity in media coverage says a lot about how important of a commodity oil is. When the oil market is disrupted, the oil industry gets a monumental about of media coverage.

Whether the oil news is a change in prices, a drop in availability or an environmental disaster, crude oil is one of the most important elements in keeping our modern commodity market running.

Ever since the BP oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, oil can been seen on the top of the water, coating marine life and local animals in a thick coating of crude oil. Many are questioning the prudence of such drilling, but Tiger General has good news!

There’s a way to drill that doesn’t endanger any sea-faring creatures or risk spilling oil in the ocean on a trip from an ocean rig to the land. Swabbing Rigs ease environmentally concerned minds by offering a way to access oil without taking a trip to the seas, and without transporting oil across the water every time it’s extracted.

Tiger General encourages you to support the exploration of energy sources and the safer methods of extracting oil with mobile, land rigs.

Petro Swab De Mexico took delivery of three more new Swab Master Direct Hydraulic drive swabbing machines. All three are equipped with the new Tiger Vision. This brings the total to six Swab Masters.

Moises De Leon states they invested in three more Swab Master Machines because the are far more efficient than chain drive rigs. Maintenance is about half of chain drive rigs. Moises also stated fuel consumption with the International engines are only about two gallons per hour. That’s far less then the Detroit engines. The old Detroit engines use as much as 4-6 gallons per hour. Swab Master machines deliver substantial savings.

Feel free to contact Moises De Leon on his cell if you have more questions. Call Moises 210-464-5113 between 9:00am-12:00 noon central standard time or E-Mail Mark Overholt, President of Tiger General, LLC Mark@TigerGeneral.com.
